Hello, I'm Ellie

BSc Hons, MCSP, HCPC, PG Dip, ACPAT Cat A

The Basics

I am a Chartered Physiotherapist based in Liverpool. And, no surprises, I love animals.

I started out in the human field, having spent 8 years post qualification (University of Nottingham, 2015) working within the NHS across a variety of areas, including: musculoskeletal, respiratory and neurology.

Now working within the Veterinary field, this experience has been invaluable. It has helped me to develop a critical eye for normal and abnormal movement patterns, effective treatment techniques, and practical exercise programmes; experience I bring to every patient.

I do, however, continue to treat human clients privately and for the NHS on a part-time basis, specialising in neurology and neuro-rehabilitation.

I have worked with a variety of patients, from rehabilitating a competitive sport horse to an elderly Labrador with arthritis.

Since obtaining a distinction in my Post Graduate Diploma in Veterinary Physiotherapy at the University of Liverpool, I have worked with a variety of different patients; including everything from rehabilitating competitive sport horses, to post-surgical agility dogs and an elderly Labrador with arthritis.

I have always had an incredible affinity with animals, having ridden horses since a young age. I still do, and have a very much young-at-heart 32 year old horse who still teaches me a thing or two!

I have also been blessed with a number of  characterful dogs of varying breeds and backgrounds.

To all my pets, past and present, thank you for everything you taught me.

Testimonials

Rachel J

Honestly Ellie, I'd love to continue to work with you with both horses and Elizabeth;

she is utterly inspired by you... I think it's really noticable and paying off.

Joan T

"I don't know who enjoyed Ellie's visit more, me or Toby (my horse!)

She has a brilliant way of explaining what's going on, and was just great fun to have on the farm every visit."

Rachel J

"I genuinely cannot believe the physical improvement after your session!

Despite the injury he's not lame and moving much better."

Catherine M

"All you want for your pet is the best, and Ellie truly understood the kindest approach for my elderly lab, Georgie.

She was gentle and kind, and really brought some relief. Thanks Ellie."
